Responsibilities:
  • Lead and implement EHS programs at our R&D site, including engineering labs, design studios, etc.
  • Conduct HIRA, and control measures specific to R&D environments, including prototype testing, electrical/electronic work, and chemical handling.
  • Ensure lab safety compliance: chemical storage and labelling, PPE usage, fume hood and ventilation checks, electrical safety, ergonomics, and safe equipment operation.
  • Develop and deliver safety induction, TBTs, and targeted training for technical and office staff.
  • Conduct periodic EHS audits and inspections of labs, workshops, and office areas.
  • Oversee emergency preparedness, including fire safety, first aid readiness, and evacuation drills tailored to office and lab setups.
  • Ensure proper disposal of R&D waste streams (electronic, chemical, plastic, and general waste) in line with MPCB/EPR guidelines.
  • Monitor environmental parameters (e.g., air quality in labs, water usage efficiency).
  • Act as the primary liaison with regulatory bodies for site-specific EHS requirements and documentation.
  • Ensure timely reporting and statuary fillings.
  • Support sustainability initiatives including energy efficiency, resource optimization, and green workspace practices.

Requirements:
  • Experience in implementing ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards in R&D or similar setups.
  • Familiarity with lab safety protocols, hazardous material handling, and EPR compliance.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with an Diploma in Industrial Safety (ADIS/PDIS) .
  • 3–6 years of EHS experience, preferably in R&D, electronics, or technology environments.
  • Strong auditing, hazard analysis, and incident investigation skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to engage diverse teams.
  • Proactive mindset with a sense of ownership and problem-solving attitude.
