Special Education Specialist

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Special Education Specialist located in Chennai. The specialist will be responsible for assessing the needs of children with special requirements and developing personalized education plans. Responsibilities include applying behavior analysis techniques, fostering effective communication skills, providing individualized instruction, and collaborating with parents, teachers, and other professionals to ensure comprehensive support for students. The role also requires maintaining records, evaluating progress, and adapting teaching strategies to meet diverse learning requirements.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Special Education practices, including developing and implementing individualized education plans
• A strong understanding of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) techniques and related interventions
• Exceptional Communication skills for interacting with children, families, and educational staff
• Experience in education, particularly working with children who require specialized support
• A compassionate and patient approach, with the ability to build trust and relationships with children and stakeholders
• Relevant certifications or a degree in Special Education, Education, or a related field is preferred
