Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and highly organized Speaker Acquisition Specialist to lead the recruitment and engagement of high-profile speakers for all our Business Summits and similar industry events. This role requires a keen understanding of industry trends, strong relationship-building skills, and an ability to secure prominent thought leaders, executives, and innovators to enhance the event's agenda and appeal. The successful candidate will collaborate with the marketing and event management teams to develop and execute a speaker acquisition strategy aligned with our vision and objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Speaker Identification and Outreach

  • Research, identify, and prioritize potential speakers with relevant expertise and influence within their respective and broader petrochemical industries.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive outreach plan to engage and secure speakers aligned with conference themes and audience interests.
  • Relationship Building and Stakeholder Engagement

  • Build and maintain relationships with industry thought leaders, past speakers, and high-profile speakers.
  • Serve as the primary contact for all confirmed speakers, ensuring seamless communication regarding Summit details, schedules, and expectations.
  • Proposal Development and Customization

  • Work with marketing and content teams to create compelling proposals and personalized design for potential speakers.
  • Align speaker engagement strategies with event goals to maximize relevance and audience engagement.
  • Contracting and Coordination

  • Negotiate terms, honorariums, and other logistical requirements to finalize speaker agreements.
  • Coordinate travel, accommodation, and any specific presentation needs in collaboration with the other team.
  • Summit Content Development

  • Collaborate with the content core committee to align speaker topics and sessions with industry trends and attendee interests.
  • Research and Analysis

  • Conduct market research to identify trending topics, emerging industry leaders, and areas of high interest to potential Summit attendees.
  • Evaluate feedback from previous events to inform future speaker acquisition strategies and improve session quality.

Key Requirements

  • Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar back-office role, preferably in speaker acquisition, event coordination, or business development.
  • Proven ability to secure high-profile speakers and manage relationships with industry leaders.
  • Skills

  • Strong research, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in drafting emails, creating proposals, and managing speaker databases.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines, with strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Communication

  • Exceptional command of written and spoken English, with a professional and approachable demeanor.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to engage and motivate speakers effectively.
