## Job Title: Sous Chef

## Key Responsibilities:

1. Assist the Executive Chef: Support the Executive Chef in managing kitchen operations, food preparation, and presentation.

2. Kitchen Management: Oversee daily kitchen activities, including food preparation, cooking, and plating.

4. Staff Supervision: Supervise and train kitchen staff, including line cooks, prep cooks, and dishwashers.

5. Food Quality Control: Ensure high-quality food preparation, presentation, and consistency.

6. Inventory Management: Assist in managing inventory, including ordering supplies, receiving, and storing food and ingredients.

7. Sanitation and Safety: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety standards.

8. Time Management: Ensure timely food preparation and service, meeting restaurant standards and customer expectations.

## Requirements:

1. Culinary Education: Formal culinary education or equivalent experience.

2. Kitchen Experience: Proven experience as a Sous Chef or similar role in a high-volume restaurant.

3. Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills.

4. Creativity: Ability to think creatively and develop new recipes and menu ideas.

5. Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail, ensuring high-quality food preparation and presentation.

## Skills:

1. Culinary expertise: Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, ingredients, and kitchen operations.

2. Team management: Ability to motivate and manage a team.

3. Communication: Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

4. Time management: Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently.

5. Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to changing menu, staffing, and service demands.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Kozhikode, Kerala: Reliably commute or willing to relocate with an employer-provided relocation package (Preferred)

Experience:

  • Formal culinary education or equivalent experience.: 2 years (Preferred)
