Role Overview

Drive strategic sourcing, supplier management, and supply chain optimization for advanced battery systems and electronic components. This is a high-impact role where your decisions ensure timely material availability, cost efficiency, and supplier performance, powering innovation across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute global procurement strategies; identify, evaluate, and onboard suppliers for raw materials, battery-grade chemicals, and critical electronic components (ICs, PCBs, MOSFETs, relays, connectors etc.)and Battery raw materials.
• Ensure timely availability of materials and electronic components; optimize inventory levels, lead times, and logistics; manage purchase orders and budget adherence.
• Monitor KPIs, implement supplier scorecards, drive cost reduction, and improve quality for both materials and electronic components.
• Ensure procurement practices comply with internal policies and regulations; maintain risk registers for critical suppliers; coordinate contracts and NDAs.
• Work with Engineering, R&D, and Production to align component and material sourcing with product timelines; support QA with audits and quality checks.
• Mentor procurement team; define roles, responsibilities, and KPIs.
  

Required Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Engineering.
• 8+ years in procurement or strategic sourcing, ideally in Battery manufacturing or electronics-heavy industries.
• Proven experience in sourcing electronic components and battery raw materials.
• Expertise in global supply chain, supplier management, and cost optimization.
• Proficiency in ERP systems and e-procurement platforms.
• Strong negotiation, analytical, and documentation skills.
• Strategic thinker with strong execution focus.
• Effective communicator across technical and commercial teams.
