Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering / Supply Chain / Commerce; MBA preferred.
• 15+ years of experience in procurement, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Prior experience in the mining, construction, or heavy equipment industry is

  mandatory

• Deep understanding of HEMM brands (e.g., Komatsu, CAT, Hitachi, Volvo, BEML, etc.) and spare parts ecosystem.

Job Summary:

The incumbent will lead and manage the Procurement & Sourcing function to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of HEMM parts, spares, consumables, and services, while maintaining vendor relationships, ensuring compliance, and driving continuous improvement in procurement processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Procurement:

• Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Forecast procurement needs based on operational requirements and fleet deployment plans.

• Vendor Development & Management:

• Identify, evaluate, and onboard suppliers for HEMM spares, components, and consumables.
• Build strong relationships with OEMs, authorized dealers, and aftermarket vendors.
• Ensure competitive pricing, quality standards, and credit terms through effective negotiations.

• Operational Efficiency:

• Streamline purchase processes, maintain inventory levels, and avoid stock-outs.
• Coordinate with maintenance, stores, and operations teams for just-in-time (JIT) procurement.
• Implement and monitor procurement KPIs (cost savings, lead time, supplier performance).

• Compliance & Risk Management:

• Ensure adherence to company policies, regulatory norms, and audit compliance.
• Mitigate procurement risks including supplier failures and price volatility.

• Team Leadership:

• Lead and mentor the procurement team across multiple project locations.
• Drive accountability, training, and capability enhancement in the team.
