Sourcing / Production Merchandiser

As a Sourcing Merchandiser, you will

• Assume end-to-end ownership of garment orders from sampling to shipment to ensure delivery within agreed cost, quality and timelines.
• Lead all product development after the design phase through prototype samples, fit samples, and production samples.
• Oversee internal order sheets and purchase orders for required raw materials.
• Coordinate fabric/trim sourcing and order execution to ensure the timely arrival of raw materials for production.
• Proactively monitor internal cycle time to decrease production costs and increase production efficiency.
• Communicate effectively with various departments such as Marketing, Designing, CAD, Sampling, and Production for timely approvals and to resolve any issues that may potentially delay shipment.
• Monitor and coordinate sample inspections, quality checks, technical audits, measurements, comments for changes and final approvals.
• Prepare accurate cost sheets and work with the buying team to finalise MRP for each product.
• Manage external suppliers and negotiate rates to maximise cost savings for the company.

What youll need to be successful

• 1-5 years of relevant experience in the Garment Manufacturing industry.
• Excellent logical and analytical skills with the ability to make quick and accurate calculations for fabric/trims consumption.
• Detail-oriented and highly organized through the use of to-do lists and other productivity software.
• Computer savvy and proficient with productivity software such as Google Docs, Google Sheets, Calendar and Email.
• Ability to multi-task and maintain professionalism while working with various departments on competing priorities.
• Proactive, motivated and quick learner with high energy.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills in English and Hindi.
• Bachelor's or Diploma in Fashion or Textile-related field required.
