Responsibilities As a Solutions Engineer, you will be a subject matter expert on Yahoo s data platform. Your technical skills will come into play in many different ways, from helping partners integrate to our APIs, troubleshooting platform behavior and issues, supporting the successful rollout of new features, and extracting and analyzing data from a number of sources.

Assist with API integration work with Data Providers; CDPs, DMPs and Advertisers direct

Quickly develop maintain expertise on internal tools and processes within the DMP advertising technology ecosystem

Manage and refine data within the taxonomy - identifying and correct any gaps and collisions

Seamlessly integrate new and evolving content into the current taxonomy for use both in US and international markets

Collaborate with cross-functional teams on first and third party audience targeting demand

Work closely with product team and provide recommendations on feature enhancements

Be a key member of the Solutions Engineering team, impacting Yahoo s short and long-term revenue by supporting custom data needs for targeting and measurement related products

Document relationships between third party and Yahoo, special requirements and/or processes, keep informative documentation on integrations up to date.

Liaise between Sales, Product and Operations and Third-Party Partners to coordinate deliverables

Run advanced SQL queries to gain insights on the platform from various data sources

Qualifications -
Degree in Computer Science or a related field 10 years of experience

3+ years experience within the digital advertising ecosystem, and familiarity with data management and online ad serving platforms

Very Experienced supporting various web APIs and similar interfaces between multiple technologies, and an ability to troubleshoot all aspects of these flows.

Ability to write complex SQL queries, and comfort expanding to other SQL-like query languages, on very large data sets.

Strong skills with linux/unix tools, specifically related to command line utilities, scripting, and raw log file analysis

Strong skills parsing data of various formats (JSON, CSV, Parque, Avro, ORC, text, and general application logs)

The ability to write, read, and troubleshoot code. Strong skills in both a development language (ideally Java) and a scripting language (ideally Python).

Expertise at automating tasks, specifically with the goal of simplifying complex tasks

Experience with real-time application monitoring software such as Splunk or Datadog

Experience using git for source control, creating and reviewing pull requests, and navigating/searching code.
