Solutions Architect (Managed Services)

.We are seeking a highly skilled Solutions Architect to join a dynamic Managed Services team, delivering large-scale, cloud-native data platform solutions. In this senior, hands-on role, you will design, implement, and optimize complex data architectures across AWS and Azure, leveraging technologies such as Snowflake, Kafka, Airflow, and Databricks. You will collaborate closely with technical teams and clients, providing guidance, operational support, and strategic insight to improve data platform performance, scalability, and reliability. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, growth-focused environment, contributing to multiple projects while mentoring engineers and shaping technical solutions across diverse industries.
Accountabilities:
- Design, propose, and provision cloud-native data solutions on AWS and Azure
- Lead technical teams managing modern data platforms, including streaming, data lakes, and analytics environments
- Provide architectural guidance and operational support across multiple customer accounts
- Coach and delegate to engineers to ensure timely and successful delivery of technical projects
- Recommend and implement technology and process improvements to enhance platform performance, security, and scalability
- Lead design discussions for data models in data warehouses and data lakes
- Identify automation and optimization opportunities to expand service offerings
- Deliver technical presentations and documentation for executive and client audiences
Requirements
- Extensive experience in cloud-native enterprise data platforms (Snowflake, AWS, Azure, Databricks)
- Strong background in Systems Engineering, DevOps, DBA, or Data Architecture
- Hands-on experience with cloud and distributed data storage (S3, ADLS, HDFS, Cassandra, Elasticsearch/Solr)
- Proficiency with data integration and ETL/ELT tools (Spark, Kafka, Fivetran, Azure Data Factory, AWS Data Migration Services, NiFi)
- Experience with workflow orchestration tools (Airflow, Luigi, AWS Managed Airflow)
- Strong SQL skills with the ability to debug and optimize queries
- Proven track record of creating and improving processes, troubleshooting, and performance tuning
- Leadership and mentorship experience for engineering teams
- Excellent client-facing communication skills
- Preferred: Infrastructure as Code experience (Terraform, CloudFormation), Python automation, CI/CD frameworks, SnowPro Core certification, Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
