Job Summary

The Solar Quality Engineer – Ground Mount Projects will oversee quality assurance and control activities across all phases of ground-mounted solar PV installations. This includes civil foundation works, module mounting structures (MMS), electrical installations, and commissioning. The role ensures compliance with technical specifications, safety standards, and regulatory norms to deliver high-performance solar assets.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect and verify quality of civil works including pile foundations, MMS erection, and trenching
• Monitor installation of PV modules, inverters, combiner boxes, and cabling for adherence to design and safety standards
• Prepare and implement Quality Assurance Plans (QAP), Inspection Test Plans (ITP), and Method Statements
• Conduct material inspections for MMS, cables, modules, and other BoS components
• Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) for non-conformities
• Coordinate with EPC, contractors, and third-party inspectors to ensure quality benchmarks are met
• Maintain quality documentation, inspection records, and generate daily/weekly quality reports
• Support audits, FAT/SAT, and handover documentation for project closure

Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering
• 2–6 years of experience in solar EPC projects, with at least 2 years in ground-mounted installations
• Familiarity with IS/IEC standards (e.g., IEC 62548, IEC 61215, IS 2062 for MMS)
• Experience with QA/QC tools like checklists, NCR logs, and inspection formats
• Understanding of pile testing, MMS alignment, torque settings, and earthing systems
