Solar Project Engineer

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Solar Project Engineer to support the design, development, and execution of solar energy projects. This role involves working across multiple phases of project lifecycles, from feasibility assessments and system design to installation support and performance analysis. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge of solar PV systems, project coordination experience, and a passion for renewable energy.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform engineering design, system sizing, and technical analysis for solar PV systems
• Prepare and review layout drawings, single-line diagrams, and electrical schematics
• Conduct site assessments, shading analysis, and performance simulations (e.g., using PVSyst or Helioscope)
• Ensure designs meet relevant codes, safety standards, and permitting requirements
• Collaborate with project managers, procurement, and installation teams to ensure successful execution
• Review contractor submittals, inspect installations, and support commissioning activities
• Identify risks or engineering challenges and recommend solutions
• Maintain accurate documentation and project records
• Stay informed about solar technologies, industry standards, and regulatory changes

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field
• 2+ years of experience in solar PV project engineering or related work
• Proficiency in solar modeling and design tools
