Location: On-field (Local Travel Required)

Role Overview

We are looking for a motivated and customer-focused Solar Field Sales Executive who will handle on-site visits for customers who have enquired about solar installations. The role involves travelling to customer locations, assessing the site, explaining solar benefits, providing the best design recommendation, and ensuring the lead converts into a successful installation.

Key Responsibilities1. Customer Visits & Requirement Assessment

  • Visit customers who have submitted enquiries for rooftop solar installation.
  • Conduct detailed site surveys, including rooftop measurements, shade analysis, load requirements, and feasibility checks.
  • Identify installation challenges and gather all technical data required for system design.

2. Solar System Design Recommendation

  • Coordinate with the design/technical team to prepare the most suitable solar solution.
  • Explain system capacity, components (panels/inverter/structure), and expected generation to the customer.
  • Provide clear, customized recommendations based on customer load, rooftop size, and budget.

3. Customer Education & Sales Presentation

  • Explain the benefits of solar (savings, payback, subsidy, net-metering, warranties, etc.).
  • Present pricing, proposals, and EMI/finance options confidently.
  • Clarify doubts related to installation, product quality, government processes, and maintenance.

4. Follow-Up & Conversion

  • Maintain timely communication with leads post-visit.
  • Follow up via calls/WhatsApp/emails to close sales.
  • Meet monthly sales targets and ensure maximum conversion from assigned enquiries.

5. Reporting & Coordination

  • Update CRM with daily visit reports, customer details, and follow-up actions.
  • Coordinate with the design and project teams to ensure smooth handover of confirmed orders.
  • Provide feedback to management on market trends and customer expectations.

Skills & QualificationsRequired

  • 0–3 years of experience in field sales (solar sales preferred).
  • Strong communication and customer-handling skills.
  • Ability to measure rooftops and understand basic technical aspects of solar.
  • Comfortable with extensive travelling and on-field work.
  • Smartphone proficiency (Google Maps, WhatsApp, CRM apps).

Preferred

  • Experience in solar energy, electrical sales, or rooftop measurements.
  • Basic understanding of solar components and installation process.
