Software Testing Intern

NviSust Innovations Pvt. Ltd. is looking for a Tester Intern to support the quality assurance of our web and mobile applications that power neuroscience‑backed wellness and productivity solutions. The intern will work closely with developers and product owners to test features, document issues, and help improve overall product reliability.​

Key responsibilities

• Review requirements, user stories, and designs to understand expected behaviour and edge cases.​
• Create and maintain clear test cases, test scenarios, and basic checklists for features and releases.​
• Execute manual test cases across web/mobile (functional, usability, regression) and document results.​
• Identify, reproduce, and log bugs with clear steps, screenshots, and environment details; track them to closure with the dev team.​
• Perform basic sanity and smoke testing on new builds before internal demos or production releases.​
• Contribute to test data preparation and help validate integrations (APIs, forms, basic workflows).​
• Explore and learn basic automation/testing tools (e.g., Postman, browser dev tools; any UI automation is a plus).​
• Document testing activities, findings, and learnings in shared tools (Notion/Jira/Git-based workflows, etc.).​

Required skills and qualifications

• Pursuing or recently completed a degree/diploma in Computer Science, IT, or related fields (or strong self‑taught portfolio in software).​
• Basic understanding of software testing fundamentals and the software development lifecycle (SDLC).​
• Comfort using web applications, browsers, and common productivity tools; familiarity with HTML/CSS, APIs, or Git is a plus.​
• Strong attention to detail, logical thinking, and curiosity to break things and find edge cases.​
• Good written and verbal communication skills to document bugs and discuss them with technical and non‑technical team members.​
• Ability to learn quickly, take feedback, and work both independently and as part of a small, fast‑moving team.​

Internship details

• Location: Remote / Kochi‑area hybrid (customize as per your plan).
• Duration: 6 months, with possibility of extension or pre‑placement offer based on performance.​
