Software Test Engineer

As a Senior QA Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and executing comprehensive test plans to validate software functionality and performance. Your expertise in automated testing, test methodologies, and defect management will be critical in maintaining our high standards of quality.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute test strategies, test plans, and test cases based on product requirements and design specifications.
• Design, implement, and maintain automated test scripts using tools such as Selenium, JUnit, or similar, and integrate them into Jenkins for continuous integration and deployment pipelines.
• Manual testing.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and performance testing as needed.
• Utilize SQL queries to validate data integrity and perform backend testing.
• Identify, document, and track defects to resolution using issue tracking tools.
• Work closely with Agile development teams in an iterative and collaborative environment.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior members of the QA team.
• Stay updated on industry best practices, tools, and trends in software quality assurance and testing.

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 4+ years of experience in quality assurance and software testing.
• Proven experience in designing and implementing automated test frameworks and test scripts using tools such as Selenium, JUnit, or similar.
• Strong understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes, including Agile methodologies.
• Proficiency in writing SQL queries for backend testing and data validation.
• Experience with Jenkins or similar CI/CD tools.
• Experience with performance testing tools and techniques is a plus.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
