Job Description

About the Role:

Software Tester (QA Engineer)

Key Responsibilities:

Review and analyze system requirements and technical specifications.
Design, develop, and execute
test plans, test cases, and test scripts
for web, mobile, and desktop applications.
Perform
manual testing
and assist in
automated test script creation
.
Identify, record, document, and track bugs using defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla, or Azure DevOps).
Conduct different types of testing including
functional, regression, integration, system, performance, and UAT
.
Validate bug fixes and perform re-testing before releases.
Collaborate with developers and project teams to ensure timely resolution of issues.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelors degree
in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
15+ years
of experience in software testing (manual or automation).
Strong understanding of the
Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
and
Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC)
.
Experience in
test case design, execution, and defect management
.
Familiarity with
bug tracking tools
such as
Jira, Bugzilla, or Trello
.
Knowledge of
automation tools
such as
Selenium, TestNG, Cypress, or Playwright
(for automation testers).
Experience with
API testing
using tools like
Postman or REST Assured
.
Familiarity with
SQL
for data validation and backend testing.
