Software Test Engineer

Job Summary:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Software Test Engineer with 3–5 years of experience in manual testing. The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of SDLC, STLC, and a strong grasp of various testing methodologies. Experience in web application testing and API testing is essential. Knowledge of automation testing will be considered an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, design, and execute detailed test cases for web and API-based applications.
• Perform various types of testing including manual, smoke, regression, functional, and integration testing.
• Identify, document, and track defects using standard bug-tracking tools.
• Collaborate closely with development teams to ensure timely issue resolution.
• Participate in requirement analysis, test case design, and review discussions.
• Ensure all deliverables meet defined quality standards and timelines.
• Contribute to improving QA processes and methodologies within the team.

Required Skills & Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
• Hands-on experience in Manual Testing for web applications and API testing (using Postman or similar tools).
• Solid understanding of Smoke Testing, Regression Testing, and Functional Testing.
• Proficiency in using bug-tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla).
• Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Automation testing knowledge (Selenium, Cypress, or similar) will be a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Familiarity with any automation frameworks or scripting languages.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹28,000.00 per month
