Software QA Engineer

Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented Software QA Engineer with 1–1.5 years of experience in manual testing for both mobile and web applications. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of the software testing lifecycle, test case preparation, defect reporting, and hands-on experience with functional and usability testing.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform manual testing for mobile and web applications.
• Create, update, and execute test cases, test scenarios, and test plans.
• Identify, document, and track defects using bug-tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla, ClickUp).
• Conduct functional, regression, usability, compatibility, and smoke testing.
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and designers to ensure high-quality releases.
• Perform cross-browser and cross-device testing.
• Participate in requirement reviews and provide inputs for testability.
• Ensure timely delivery of test results and status reports.

Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
• 1–1.5 years of hands-on experience in manual testing (web & mobile).
• Strong knowledge of STLC, SDLC, and defect life cycle.
• Good understanding of UI/UX fundamentals.
• Knowledge of basic SQL for data validation (optional but preferred).
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Experience with tools like Jira, TestRail, Postman (basic API knowledge is a plus).
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication and documentation skills.

Nice-to-Have

• Basic understanding of API testing.
• Exposure to automation tools (Selenium, Appium) is a bonus.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Fresher

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
