Job Description

Software Manager – Leading Pharma Giant (Onsite, Chennai, India)

Software Manager

Key Responsibilities

Build and lead a multidisciplinary engineering team (Frontend, Backend, DevOps, QA).
Ensure reliable, regulatory-compliant releases delivered on schedule.
Partner with U.S. and EU stakeholders to define architecture, roadmaps, and OKRs.
Drive a culture of technical excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Preferred Technical Expertise

Frontend:
Strong skills in TypeScript/HTML/CSS; Svelte preferred (React/Vue/Angular acceptable).
Backend:
Expert in C++ with multithreading; Qt a plus; familiarity with gRPC or similar RPC frameworks.
DevOps:
Hands-on with Docker/Kubernetes, CMake, GitHub workflows; strong Linux (NixOS experience a plus).
Quality:
Experience with Selenium, Playwright, or similar automated UI frameworks.

Qualifications

10+ years in software development, with 3+ years in engineering leadership.
Proven experience scaling teams in regulated or mission-critical domains (medical devices, pharma, aerospace, etc.).
Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively across global time zones.
