.This role offers the opportunity to work on high-scale, data-intensive trading platforms, contributing to the design and development of backend systems that process and transform large volumes of financial data. You will collaborate closely with engineering teams and platform users to build robust, scalable Java applications and APIs that support automated data workflows. Accountabilities

• Design, develop, and deploy backend Java applications and APIs that integrate with diverse data sources and services
• Collaborate with platform users and engineering partners to understand requirements, identify priorities, and develop scalable solutions
• Contribute to the architecture and system design of the trading platform, ensuring reliability and performance at scale
• Build, maintain, and optimize automated data ingestion and transformation workflows
• Work closely with cloud platforms, leveraging AWS or similar services to deploy and manage services
• Participate in agile development practices, including sprint planning, code reviews, and iterative delivery
• Foster a culture of ownership, automation, and continuous improvement within the engineering team
  

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience)
• 4+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Expert-level proficiency in Java, with experience in backend development and scalable systems
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred) and service-oriented architectures
• Knowledge of databases, SQL, NoSQL, OLAP, or data lake architectures
• Familiarity with Java frameworks such as Spring Boot and RESTful API development
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive, ownership-driven mindset
• Experience in agile methodologies, with the ability to balance experimentation and structured processes
