Job Title: AS400 Developer Key Skills: AS400, COBOL, RPG Job Locations: chennai, Hyderabad, Bangalore Experience: 7 - 13 Years Budget: 13 – 16 LPA Education Qualification : Any Graduation Work Mode: Hybrid Employment Type: Contract Notice Period: Immediate - 15 Days Interview Mode: 2 Rounds of Technical Interview + Including Client round Job Description: We are seeking a seasoned AS400 Developer with expertise in COBOL and RPG to design, develop, and maintain applications on the IBM iSeries (AS400) platform. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in legacy system modernization and a deep understanding of business-critical application development. Key Responsibilities Design, code, test, and implement software solutions using COBOL and RPG on the AS400 platform. Develop and maintain online and batch programs, ensuring optimal performance and reliability. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications. Perform unit testing, debugging, and documentation to ensure high-quality software delivery. Provide on-call support, analyze and debug issues, and implement necessary fixes. Optimize and enhance existing applications for better performance and scalability. Coordinate testing with clients and ensure seamless integration of systems Required Skills & Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in COBOL and RPG programming on the AS400 platform. Proficiency in CL, DB2, SQL, and QUERY400. Experience with tools such as ROBOT, SFTP, and IMPLEMENTER. Strong understanding of EDI/LDEX processing and remittance applications. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
