We are looking for an accomplished Software Development Engineer III who will act as a senior individual contributor and emerging technical leader within our teams. You will own complex system designs, drive impactful technical solutions, and mentor junior engineers. At Techjays, you will elevate engineering standards, influence cross-team projects, and contribute to building scalable, AI-first systems that advance our technology vision.

What You’ll Do

• Design and build scalable backend services using Python (FastAPI) or C#
• Lead feature development and end-to-end implementation of APIs and systems
• Optimize performance and scalability across data-intensive applications
• Contribute to architecture reviews, tech design, and best practices
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, Data, UX) to deliver business value
• Leverage AI tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT) to boost development velocity

What You’ll Bring

• 3–7 years of backend development experience with strong design and problem-solving skills
• Advanced skills in Python or C#, REST APIs, and distributed systems
• Hands-on experience with Kafka, PostgreSQL, Redis, and Snowflake or similar platforms
• Proficiency in writing integration tests and using observability tools (e.g., Datadog)
• Strong communication across time zones and functions (written + spoken English)

Nice-to-Have

• Experience with modern data stacks: dbt, AWS Glue, S3, Dagster, Starburst
• Competency in frontend development with React and TypeScript
• Exposure to web scraping tools (Selenium, Playwright, etc.)
