Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer with 5 to 6 years of experience in IBM Mainframe Utilities Python CICS VSAM JCL DB2 and Cobol. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and preferably domain experience in Property & Casualty Insurance. This is a hybrid work model with day shifts and no travel required. Responsibilities Develop and maintain software applications using IBM Mainframe Utilities Python CICS VSAM JCL DB2 and Cobol. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements for new software features. Design and implement efficient scalable and maintainable code to meet project specifications. Conduct thorough testing and debugging of software applications to ensure high-quality deliverables. Provide technical support and troubleshooting for existing software applications. Participate in code reviews to ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards. Document software designs code and processes for future reference and knowledge sharing. Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to continuously improve software development practices. Work closely with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions. Ensure software applications comply with security and regulatory requirements. Optimize software performance and enhance user experience. Mentor and guide junior team members to foster a collaborative and productive work environment. Contribute to the overall success of the company by delivering high-quality software solutions that meet business objectives. Qualifications Possess strong technical skills in IBM Mainframe Utilities Python CICS VSAM JCL DB2 and Cobol. Have a minimum of 5 years of experience in software development. Demonstrate proficiency in designing and implementing software applications. Exhibit excellent problem-solving and debugging skills. Show ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Have strong communication and documentation skills. Preferably have domain experience in Property & Casualty Insurance. Be adaptable to a hybrid work model and day shifts. Display commitment to continuous learning and improvement. Ensure adherence to security and regulatory standards. Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members. Contribute to the companys success through high-quality software solutions. Be proactive in identifying and addressing potential issues.
