Social Media Manager

Education – Bachelor's degree or a related field.

8 to 12 Years of work experience in print media or similar role in a media, publishing, or newspaper environment

.Roles & Responsibilities:

1. Content Planning & Publishing

○ Develop a social media content calendar aligned with editorial priorities.

○ Ensure real-time coverage of breaking news on social platforms..

○ Publish news updates, breaking stories, photo features, videos, and info graphics.

2. Audience Engagement & Growth

○ Respond to comments, DMs, and reader feedback professionally

○ Handle crisis communication (fact-checking, addressing misinformation).

○ Conduct polls, Q&A, live sessions with journalists, and audience-driven content.

○ Monitor trending topics and regional issues for relevance.

○ Using Search Engine Optimization (SEO) improves online visibility, attract potential customers, and drive organic traffic to our website.

3. Branding & Readership Skills

○ Increase followers and subscribers across platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok).

○ Promote Digital Campaigns subscription offers, special issues, e-paper links, or editorial events.

○ Run social media campaigns to promote subscriptions or special editions.

○ Collaborate with journalists and editors for exclusive content.

○ Run targeted ad campaigns in coordination with marketing/sales team.

4. Analytics & Reporting

○ Track metrics like reach, impressions, likes, shares, comments, video views, etc.

○ Monitor negative mentions or comments.

○ Analyze traffic referrals from social media to the newspaper’s website.

○ Provide weekly/monthly performance reports with insights and recommendations.

○ Identify high-performing content and audience behavior trends.

5. Platform Innovation & Trends.

○ Experiment with new formats (Reels, Stories, live videos, Twitter Spaces).

○ Stay updated on algorithm changes and emerging platforms.

○ Use AI tools for content optimization for news alerts.

6. Training & Development

○ Conduct regular feedback sessions with team.

Identify skill gaps in a team and recommend relevant development activities

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
