Social Media Manager

We’re looking for a social-first storyteller who can bring the world of hardware manufacturing to life through engaging content with a strong emphasis on video-led narratives. This is not a “sit behind the desk” role. You’ll be on the floor, brainstorming, scripting, shooting, and publishing content that sparks conversation and builds community across LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, and beyond.

You’ll shape our content voice, own our digital storytelling formats, and create campaigns that highlight:

• The real challenges of hardware startups building in India
• The unique solutions and processes Karkhana.io brings to the table
• Thought leadership around EMS, Supply Chain, and Box Build Assembly
• The everyday stories of engineers, operators, and leaders at Karkhana.io

Think of this role as a mix of strategy + creativity + execution where you’ll ideate, create, and publish with speed and consistency. You’ll also own the content style, voice, and storytelling formats for our leadership profiles, helping to build a consistent narrative across personal LinkedIn and other social handles.

Responsibilities

• Own social media strategy and content calendar across LinkedIn, YouTube, and Instagram
• Conceptualize and execute short-form and long-form content (with video as the primary format)
• Collaborate with engineers, supply chain leads, and leadership to turn complex ideas into simple, engaging narratives
• Spotlight our capabilities, partnerships, case studies, and thought leadership in creative ways
• Build the brand voice across leadership profiles on LinkedIn and other platforms
• Track performance metrics and refine content based on insights

You Should Have

• 2–4 years of experience in content creation (agency, startup, or freelance)
• A bias for action – you’re not afraid to run around with a mic and camera
• Understanding (or willingness to learn) of hardware, manufacturing, and EMS is a plus
• Curiosity and storytelling instincts – you know how to make niche topics engaging
• Familiarity with platforms like LinkedIn, YouTube Shorts, and Instagram Reels

Bonus If You:

• Have worked with B2B or tech hardware startups
• Can also write short scripts, blog intros, or thought leadership posts
• Have built your own content brand or side project
