Filter Coffee is a new age research and media company that’s on a mission to make business news fun and inspiring for young readers in India. 

Our first product is a daily newsletter that covers the hottest and the latest in global business and technology, and goes out to thousands of subscribers every day. 

We’re based in Mumbai. We’re advised by some of the most successful entrepreneurs, investors, analysts from India and around the world.

Role Summary

As a Senior Social Media Associate you will be the voice of Filter Coffee on X, LinkedIn, and Instagram, you'll translate our business insights into compelling, shareable content. Collaborating with the editorial team, you'll craft and execute a social media strategy that adapts newsletters and articles for platform-specific audiences. This  includes creating content, engaging with the community, tracking analytics, and staying ahead of digital trends. Additionally the role combines business acumen with a deep understanding of social media dynamics and how young India consumes content. Strong communication skills and a flair for simplifying complex market insights are essential.

Expected Responsibilities:

• Develop, curate, and manage content to be published (images, video, and written) across social media platforms.
• Assist in creating a comprehensive social media strategy that aligns with our brand identity. Be creative. Be bold. How can we best surface insights? How can we stand out from the crowd? 
• Monitor and engage with people on social platforms, respond to comments and messages, and foster positive relationships. This is a great opportunity to build a network, be visible, and polish your copywriting skills. 
• Track, analyze, and report on social media metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of campaigns and strategies.
• Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and emerging social media platforms to ensure our strategy remains relevant and innovative.

Expected Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience in social media management, preferably for a high growth company, or the experience of running a thriving and cool social media profile
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to use state of the art tools like ChatGPT, Claude, efficiently.
• Ability to think creatively around the most basic and boring concepts. 
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Figma)
