Site Supervisor

Reports To: Junior Project Engineer / Senior Project Engineer

ROLE OVERVIEW

The Site Supervisor is responsible for ensuring smooth day-to-day execution of interior works at the project site.

This role focuses on labour management, quality checking, site discipline, material tracking, and daily reporting.

Supervisors ensure that instructions given by the Project Engineers are implemented correctly and on time.

Ideal for candidates who are disciplined, proactive, and practical on site.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Daily Site Supervision

• Oversee all on-site activities as per the work schedule.
• Manage labour teams and ensure timely completion of daily tasks.
• Allocate tasks to workers based on instructions from the engineers.
• Ensure site is active, clean, and organized throughout the day.

2. Execution Support

• Support carpentry, civil, electrical, plumbing, and finishing works.
• Ensure that work is done as per the drawings and instructions.
• Prevent rework by checking alignment, leveling, and finishing quality.
• Identify site issues early and escalate them to PE/Sr PE.

3. Quality Checks

• Conduct basic quality inspections for:
• carpentry (shutters, alignment, edges)
• civil (levels, plumb)
• electrical (box positioning)
• plumbing (leaks, alignment)
• painting (patchwork, sanding)
• Report defects immediately for rectification.

4. Material & Stock Monitoring

• Track material usage and availability on site.
• Inform engineers in advance about shortages.
• Check delivery quantity and report mismatches.
• Ensure no wastage and proper storage of materials.

5. Reporting & Documentation

• Send daily site photos and work progress updates before the end of the day.
• Maintain site registers for labour, materials, and progress.
• Share issues or delays instantly through phone/WhatsApp.

6. Site Safety & Discipline

• Ensure safety practices are followed by workers.
• Maintain overall discipline and prevent unproductive labour.
• Manage site housekeeping and ensure walkable pathways.

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

Experience

• Junior Supervisor: 0–3 years
• Senior Supervisor: 3–7 years(Interior execution experience preferred.)

Education

• ITI / Diploma / Any discipline (skills matter more than education).

Technical Skills

• Basic understanding of interior work sequence.
• Can read simple drawings (levels, measurements).
• Knows how to measure basic site elements (rooms, furniture frames).
• Awareness of carpentry, electrical, plumbing finishing standards

Behavioural Skills

• Strong discipline and time management.
• Ability to manage labour teams effectively.
• Good communication with engineers and vendors.
• Takes ownership and works with honesty.
• Quick to learn and adapt.

SALARY RANGE

• Junior Supervisor: ₹12,000 – ₹18,000
• Senior Supervisor: ₹18,000 – ₹25,000 (Based on experience + performance during interview)
