Position Overview We are hiring Riggers with strong experience in handling structural steel components, blocks, and heavy equipment during hull fabrication and shipbuilding operations . The ideal candidate will be responsible for lifting, moving, and securing materials safely using cranes, slings, shackles, and other rigging gear in coordination with crane operators and site supervisors. Key Responsibilities Read and interpret rigging plans, load charts, and lifting arrangements based on engineering drawings. Inspect lifting tools, slings, shackles, and hooks to ensure load safety and compliance with standards. Assist in lifting and shifting of heavy steel sections like hull blocks, girders, shell plates, and frames. Secure loads properly using chain blocks, wire ropes, synthetic slings, and spreader bars. Signal crane operators during lifting operations and ensure proper load balance and safety. Follow lifting plans and coordinate with supervisors for safe execution in confined and elevated spaces. Experience: Minimum 2–4 years of experience in shipbuilding yards, heavy fabrication workshops, or offshore/onshore industrial projects. Technical Skills Required Knowledge of sling angles, load calculations, lifting gear selection, and center of gravity estimation.
