Shiprepair HSE Manager

Quality :

§ Establish, implement and proactively lead the implement the processes and procedures, standards and initiatives to continually improve the business performance, under Integrated Management System for ISO 9001 (Quality), ISO 14001 (Environment) & OHSAS 18001 (Health & Safety) and also for ISO 28000 (Supply Chain Security).

§ Plan and conduct management reviews, internal audits and coordinate for external third party certification audits, in the capacity of Management Representative (MR) and report on the performance of the management system to achieve continual improvement.

Health, Safety & Environment:

§ Play a lead role in promoting and developing no blame culture that embraces zero harm through health, safety and environmental awareness by stimulating active involvement and interaction at all organizational levels.

§ Conceive, lead and implement the S&E improvement plan and initiatives in coordination with the line management to meet the annual objectives including facilitation of appropriate OHSE programs.

§ Plan and conduct monthly OHSE committee meetings to measure the OHSE performance and appraise the management on the improvements to achieve Operational efficiency.

§ Monitor, collate, analyze and publish data for trend analysis & statistics at regular intervals to achieve continual improvement on all aspects of OHSE and related training of personnel.

§ Provide advice and support to line management for conducting risk assessments and ensuring that operational risks are proactively and appropriately managed.

§ Ensure proper adherence to ICAM procedure for incident investigations and implement effective control measures for closure of the gaps identified to prevent recurrence.

§ Evaluate and ensure emergency response preparedness through regular emergency mock drills and upkeep of the emergency response procedures.

Qualifications & Competencies :

§ Post Graduate qualification in Safety with at least 5 yrs work experience in the field of Safety Management; OR

§ Graduate in any field with Diploma in Industrial Safety with at least 7 yrs work experience in Safety Management; OR

§ Master Mariner or Marine Professional with at least 3 yrs experience in rank and 3 yrs experience ashore in Safety Management and Training

§ Knowledge of ISO and other International Standards related to Quality, Environment and Occupational Health & Safety

§ Lead Auditor certification in Quality Management System

§ Computer literate in Microsoft Office applications

§ Bilingual in English and Hindi
