Job Description

Purpose/Objective


    Shift In-Charge - Mechanical (LT) is responsible for leading and managing maintenance activities for all low-tension (LT) mechanical systems within the port premises. This role ensures the efficient functioning of mechanical equipment, timely issue resolution, and adherence to safety standards, enabling uninterrupted port operations.

Key Responsibilities of Role


    Mechanical (LT) Maintenance Oversight: Supervise and coordinate all maintenance activities related to LT Mechanical systems during the shift. Monitor Mechanical operations to ensure minimal downtime and quick resolution of issues. Preventive, Predictive, and corrective Maintenance : Plan, execute, and oversee preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance of LT Mechanical equipment such as transformers, circuit breakers, switchboards, cables, distribution systems & ensure proper maintenance of Mechanical panels, motors, and lighting systems within the port Safety Compliance: Enforce adherence to safety protocols and Mechanical safety standards, inspect and maintain safety equipment, including grounding systems and protective devices, to ensure safe operations. Also conduct safety drills and provide guidance to maintenance personnel on Mechanical safety practices. Reporting & Documentation: Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, system performance, and incidents occurring during the shift, prepare and submit shift reports to senior management, highlighting key issues, resolutions, and recommendations. Inventory Management: Monitor the availability of essential spare parts and tools for LT Mechanical systems & coordinate with procurement teams for timely replenishment of inventory. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve system reliability, efficiency & recommend upgrades or modifications to LT Mechanical systems to senior management. Brand Positioning: Uphold Adani's brand values in all interactions and build strong relationships to fortify brand trust and loyalty. Digital Mindset: Keep up with digital and AI advancements to enhance business and maintain competitiveness. Team Development: Promote a respectful and safe workplace, lead collaborative and productive teams, and mentor for growth and success. Qualifications and Experience


    Educational Qualification: Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.. Work Experience: Minimum 5-7 years of experience in LT Mechanical maintenance, preferably in industrial or port settings.
