Control Room Operator - ASU & CAS

Purpose/Objective

Responsible to oversee and ensure efficient system performance and maintain safety and compliance standards. This role involves coordinating with maintenance teams, responding to system alarms, conducting regular inspections, and documenting operational data to ensure stability and optimal functioning of the systems.

Key Responsibilities of Role

Control Room Operator - ASU & CAS – Copper Operational Management: - Manage control room operational activities for the ASU and CAS systems to ensure efficient performance. - Coordinate with the maintenance team and Shift Incharge to troubleshoot and resolve operational issues. - Monitor, control and record process parameters in the log book to maintain system stability and efficiency. - Perform regular inspections of the ASU and CAS systems to ensure optimal operation. System Monitoring and Control: - Operate and monitor the ASU and CAS systems, adjusting parameters as needed for optimal performance. - Respond to system alarms and implement corrective actions to address any issues. - Supervise the operation of control room equipment and ensure it is functioning correctly. - Document and report system performance, including any maintenance activities or irregularities. Safety and Compliance: - Adhere to safety protocols and ensure a safe working environment in the control room. - Oversee adherence to safety and environmental regulations during operations. - Implement safety measures and emergency procedures as required. Process Optimization and Continuous Improvement: - Monitor real-time process data to identify deviations and inefficiencies, promptly adjusting parameters to optimize ASU and CAS performance. - Provide feedback to Shift In-charge on operational inefficiencies, suggesting potential system adjustments for improved control and performance. Technology Utilization: - Utilize digital tools and technology (SCADA systems, DCS, etc) to enhance monitoring and control of the ASU and CAS systems. - Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of technological solutions to optimize system performance. Qualifications and Experience

Education Qualification: Engineering Graduate or B.Sc or Diploma in a related field Work Experience (Range of years): 3-8 years of experience in a similar role within the Copper Manufacturing industry Experience in Tonnage cryogenic ASU/Compressed Air System of Manufacturing Industry Certifications: Relevant certification in Control Room Operations or Process Control is preferred -
