Purpose/Objective

Engineer - Automation and Instrumentation (Liquid Terminal) is responsible for the effective management and maintenance of automation and control systems specific to liquid terminal operations. This role is crucial for ensuring accurate and efficient handling of liquid cargo, maintaining safety standards, and optimizing the performance of liquid terminal facilities.

Key Responsibilities of Role

System Maintenance and Optimization: Conduct regular maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization of automation and instrumentation systems to ensure uninterrupted liquid terminal operations. Technical Support: Provide expert support for automation systems, including programmable logic controllers (PLCs), distributed control systems (DCS), supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) systems, ensuring optimal configuration and operation. Instrumentation Management: Manage the calibration, testing, and maintenance of instrumentation devices to guarantee precise measurements and adherence to industry standards. Project Management: Participate in the planning and execution of new automation projects, ensuring they align with liquid terminal operational needs and are completed within set timelines. Continuous Improvement Process: Identify and implement system improvements and technological upgrades to enhance operational efficiency and accuracy. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive documentation for all automation and instrumentation systems, including wiring diagrams, maintenance records, and user manuals. Traiining and Development: Train and mentor team members on the effective use and upkeep of automation and control systems. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all activities related to automation and instrumentation adhere to safety, environmental, and industry regulations. Vendor Managment: Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for the procurement of system components, technical support, and management of warranties. Emergency Reponse: Respond swiftly to emergency situations involving automation and instrumentation systems, and execute well-planned contingency measures. Digital Mindset: Keep up with digital and AI advancements to enhance business and maintain competitiveness. Qualifications and Experience

Education Qualification: Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering Work Experience: Minimum 5-7 years experience in electrical maintenance
