Shift Engineer

Job Description

As a Shift Engineer within the Test Engineering team, you will manage rolling shifts, ensuring the optimal performance of RF testers and test instruments for 4G/5G technology. You will maintain tester uptime, monitor KPI performance, and guide shift technicians to meet production demands and complete tasks on time. You have: Bachelors engineering or Diploma with 5+ plus of experience in monitoring tester productivity, yield, and false call rates to meet KPI targets. Expertise in tester maintenance, fine-tuning, and performing IC programming and changeovers for various test levels. Proficiency in managing spare parts inventory and addressing critical spare shortages in a timely manner. Hands-on experience with RF testers, including SPEA FPT, Keysight ICT, and Data IO PSV5000/7000. Experience in leading teams, guiding shift technicians, and ensuring that tasks are completed on time and according to procedures. It would be nice if you also had: Understanding of RF technology and previous experience with RF instrument handling and calibration. Knowledge to support NPI processes and tester validation, including test procedure adherence and maintaining golden samples. Familiar with continuous improvement practices like Kaizens to optimize tester performance and efficiency. You will ensure RF testers and test instruments meet performance goals by maintaining uptime and monitoring KPIs. Support and maintain testers by performing regular PM activities and resolving issues related to false call rates. You will monitor tester performance, track FCR, and ensure timely actions and updates to shift engineers and managers. You will perform flying probe and ICT fine-tuning, fixture maintenance, and tester changeovers for IC programming and module testing. Maintain spare parts inventory and report shortages to avoid downtime and disruptions in production. Handle downtime monitoring and follow the escalation matrix to provide quick support and resolutions. Lead shift technicians by providing guidance and ensuring tasks are completed within their respective shifts. Learn to improve testing efficiency and product quality through continuous improvement projects and Kaizen initiatives.
