Job Title:

Overview

SharePoint Administrator

Key Responsibilities

  • Administration & Configuration:

    Manage site collections, libraries, lists, workflows, and permissions.
  • User Support:

    Provide end-user training, troubleshoot issues, and ensure smooth usage of SharePoint.
  • Content Governance:

    Oversee content management and ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Customization & Development:

    Build solutions using SharePoint Designer, PowerApps, Power Automate, etc.
  • Security Management:

    Implement access controls, data protection measures, and compliance standards.
  • Backup & Recovery:

    Ensure robust backup processes and data recovery plans.
  • Performance Optimization:

    Monitor system performance and conduct routine maintenance.
  • System Integration:

    Collaborate with IT teams to integrate SharePoint with Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and third-party applications.
  • Upgrades & Migration:

    Execute patches, upgrades, and migrations with minimal business disruption.
  • Documentation:

    Maintain technical documentation of configurations and processes.
  • Project Management:

    Lead or support SharePoint-related projects and enhancements.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

Experience:

  • 3–5 years of experience as a SharePoint Administrator or similar role.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency with SharePoint 2013/2016/2019 or SharePoint Online.
  • Hands-on experience with SharePoint Designer, PowerApps, Power Automate, InfoPath.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, Azure, Active Directory integration.
  • Familiarity with SQL Server and database management.
  • PowerShell scripting and automation expertise.
  • Deep understanding of SharePoint architecture, administration, and security best practices.

Soft Skills:

  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written).
  • Highly organized with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Microsoft SharePoint certifications (Administrator/Associate).
  • Experience with SharePoint migration tools.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft collaboration tools (Teams, OneDrive).
