Position Title: Service Supervisor
Department: Service / After-Sales
Location: Pune, Maharashtra
Reporting To: Service Manager / Operations Manager
Experience Required: Minimum 3–5 years in the Automotive Industry (Service Department)

Role Overview

The Service Supervisor will be responsible for managing day-to-day service operations, ensuring quality service delivery, coordinating with technicians, and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction. The role includes supervision of workshop activities, workflow planning, productivity monitoring, and adherence to company standards.

Key Responsibilities1. Service Operations Management

  • Supervise daily workshop operations and allocate jobs to technicians.
  • Ensure timely completion of service, maintenance, and repairs.
  • Monitor job quality, diagnose issues, and support technicians when needed.
  • Maintain service records, job cards, and documentation accuracy.

2. Customer Handling

  • Greet customers and understand their service requirements.
  • Provide service updates, cost estimates, and delivery timelines.
  • Handle customer queries, complaints, and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Conduct post-service follow-ups to maintain long-term relationships.

3. Team Supervision & Coordination

  • Lead and motivate service technicians and support staff.
  • Conduct daily briefings & explain service targets.
  • Ensure adherence to safety standards and workshop discipline.
  • Support in training new technicians and improving team skills.

4. Quality & Process Control

  • Inspect vehicles after servicing for quality checks.
  • Ensure compliance with OEM (Automobile Manufacturer) guidelines.
  • Monitor tools, equipment, and ensure proper maintenance.
  • Implement process improvements to reduce rework and increase efficiency.

5. Reporting & Administration

  • Prepare daily service reports, productivity reports, and job completion summaries.
  • Track spare parts availability, raise requirements, and coordinate with the parts department.
  • Maintain records of customer feedback and service performance.

Key Skills Required

  • Strong technical knowledge of automobiles (2W/4W/Commercial Vehicles – as applicable).
  • Team leadership and people management skills.
  • Customer handling and communication skills.
  • Ability to diagnose technical issues effectively.
  • Experience with service software, job cards, and workshop systems.
  • Time management and problem-solving ability.

Qualifications

  • Diploma / Degree in Automobile or Mechanical Engineering (preferred).
  • ITI Motor Mechanic / Automobile Technician certification is an added advantage.
  • 3–5 years of relevant experience in automotive service operations.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
