Service Engineer – IT Infrastructure

Job Summary:

Service Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Install and maintain

  structured cabling (CAT6, Fiber, etc.)

  at client sites
• Set up and troubleshoot

  CCTV surveillance systems

  (IP & Analog)
• Provide

  desktop and laptop support

  , including OS installation, hardware replacement, network configuration, etc.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance of IT hardware and cabling infrastructure
• Handle

  network switch/router installation

  , basic configuration, and patching
• Diagnose and resolve

  hardware, software, and peripheral issues

• Coordinate with vendors or internal teams for escalated technical problems
• Document and report service visits, customer interactions, and issues resolved
• Ensure adherence to service-level agreements and safety standards

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Diploma or Bachelor’s in IT, Electronics, or relevant field
• 1–3 years of field experience in IT service or infrastructure support
• Strong understanding of

  LAN/WAN networks and structured cabling

• Experience in installing and maintaining

  CCTV systems

  (Hikvision, CP Plus, etc.)
• Knowledge of

  Windows OS, MS Office, basic networking, and system formatting

• Good troubleshooting, communication, and customer handling skills
• Ability to work independently and travel to client sites

Preferred Skills (Bonus):

• Knowledge of A

  ccess control systems

  or biometric devices
• Experience with C

  rimping, Patch panel dressing

  , and R

  ack management

• Basic knowledge of firewalls, routers, or IP addressing
• Familiarity with ticketing tools or service reporting software
