Role Overview:

The Service Engineer will be a crucial member of the team responsible for ensuring production reliability, performance, and incident management. The role demands a strong background in service engineering, site reliability engineering (SRE), and production support in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement, maintain, and enhance the observability stack including monitoring, logging, and alerting systems.

• Manage production incidents including troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and resolution.

• Provide on-call production support during UK business hours (9 AM – 5 PM IST).

• Develop and maintain runbooks, dashboards, and automated alerts for service reliability.

• Collaborate with SRE and DevOps teams to improve system uptime and scalability.

• Ensure documentation of all production support processes and incidents.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Strong experience in Service Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or Production Support.
• Expertise with observability and monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK stack, Splunk, Datadog, or similar.
• Incident management and on-call troubleshooting experience.
• Proficiency in Node.js, React.js, and TypeScript.
• Experience with unit testing frameworks like Jest, Mocha, or Jasmine.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to perform under pressure.
