About the Role

Huawei XFusion Server Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Deploy, configure, and maintain

  Huawei XFusion servers

  across production and staging environments.
• Perform server provisioning, firmware upgrades, BIOS configuration, and hardware health monitoring.
• Manage and troubleshoot

  iBMC

  , RAID controllers, DIMMs, CPUs, NICs, and power modules.
• Conduct hardware diagnostics and coordinate with OEM support for parts replacement or incident resolution.
• Implement and manage

  RAID

  , storage configurations, and boot logic for multiple OS environments.
• Perform performance tuning, capacity planning, and regular health checks of server infrastructure.
• Monitor system logs, alerts, and performance metrics to ensure uptime and availability.
• Coordinate with network, virtualization, and security teams during deployments or incident handling.
• Maintain updated inventory, documentation, SOPs, and configuration records.
• Support datacenter operations including rack mounting, cabling, power management, and hardware lifecycle management.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 3–5 years of hands-on experience with

  Huawei XFusion/ FusionServer Pro

  series.
• Strong knowledge of

  iBMC (Intelligent Baseboard Management Controller)

  operations.
• Experience with server hardware components (CPU, RAM, RAID, PSU, NICs, storage modules).
• Good understanding of

  RAID levels

  , disk configurations, and storage performance.
• Experience with

  Linux/Windows OS installation and troubleshooting

  on XFusion servers.
• Familiarity with

  virtualization platforms

  (VMware ESXi, Hyper-V, KVM).
• Knowledge of datacenter standards: cooling, power, cabling, and rack management.
• Ability to perform root cause analysis and hardware fault isolation.

Certifications Required (Any of the following)

• Huawei Certified ICT Associate – Storage (HCIA-Storage)

• Huawei Certified ICT Associate – Cloud Computing (HCIA-Cloud)

• Huawei Certified ICT Professional – Server (HCIP-Server)

• HCIA/HCIP Datacom

  (optional but preferred)

Good to Have

• Experience with

  FusionServer Pro

  ,

  FusionCompute

  , or

  FusionDirector

  management tools.
• Familiarity with

  automation tools

  such as Ansible or Python for hardware provisioning.
• Exposure to enterprise backup solutions and cluster environments.
• Knowledge of ITIL processes (Incident/Change/Problem Management).

Soft Skills

• Strong technical troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Good communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to work in fast-paced and critical environments.
