Job Description

As a Server Engineer, you will architect and develop robust backend services that power our games and platforms. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to define APIs, optimize performance, and ensure seamless integration across systems.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services
Define and implement API contracts in collaboration with front-end and game development teams
Optimize performance and reliability of server-side components
Manage and scale cloud infrastructure using AWS or GCP
Work with large datasets across relational and NoSQL databases
Integrate caching mechanisms using Redis
Ensure high availability and security of backend systems
Participate in code reviews and mentor junior engineers

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
6+ years of experience in backend development
Strong proficiency in PHP
Bonus: Experience with Java
Hands-on experience with cloud platforms like AWS or GCP
Familiarity with Redis for caching and performance optimization
Expertise in database design and handling large datasets in MySQL, Postgres, Couchbase, or DynamoDB
Proven experience in defining APIs and working with cross-functional teams

Preferred Skills

Experience in game development or gaming platforms
Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
