Server Engineer

As a Server Engineer at our company in Raipur, your role involves installing, configuring, and maintaining both physical and virtual servers in the datacenter. You will be responsible for performing OS administration tasks for Windows and Linux systems, including patching and upgrades. Monitoring server performance, capacity, and uptime using specialized tools will also be a key part of your job. Troubleshooting hardware, storage, and OS-related issues and escalating them to vendors when necessary is crucial. Additionally, managing virtualization platforms such as VMware, Hyper-V, and KVM to ensure optimal resource utilization is part of your responsibilities. Moreover, you will be supporting backup, disaster recovery, and high-availability solutions while ensuring compliance with datacenter security, ISMS, and operational policies. Keeping server documentation, SOPs, and change management records up to date and collaborating effectively with network, storage, and DC operations teams are essential for smooth functioning. Qualifications Required: - Bachelors degree/Diploma in Computer Science, IT, Electronics, or related field. - 02 years of experience in server administration or datacenter operations (freshers welcome). - Basic knowledge of Windows/Linux server environments. - Familiarity with virtualization concepts (VMware, Hyper-V, or similar). - Understanding of networking basics (IP, DNS, DHCP) is an advantage. - Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn. - Good communication and teamwork abilities. - Flexibility to work in 24x7 shift operations.
