Responsibilities

• Perform daily server health checks and monitoring activities.
• Provide first-level support for hardware, operating systems (Windows/Linux), and virtual environments.
• Familiarity with virtual machine creation, resource allocation, and VM snapshots.
• Provide L1/L2 support for VMware, Hyper-V, or other virtualization platforms.
• Log and categorize incidents in the ticketing system; escalate issues to L2/L3 support as needed.
• Monitor backups, disk space, CPU usage, and critical services. Assist in the deployment and patching of operating systems and applications.
• Maintain server room documentation, asset inventory, and cabling diagrams.
• Coordinate with vendors and other teams for hardware replacements or updates.
• Support users with basic access issues (Active Directory, file permissions, etc.).
• Ensure compliance with IT policies and security standards.
• Participate in on-call support as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, BCA/MCA or related field.
• Preferred Certifications (Nice to Have): Windows Server, VMware Certified
