SEO Team Lead / SEO Specialist

We’re hiring: SEO Team Lead / SEO Specialist – Chennai (On-site, Full-Time)

At Elephant in the Boardroom, we help global brands grow with impactful digital strategies. We’re expanding our SEO team and looking for an experienced SEO Team Lead who’s ready to drive results and lead strategy across a range of industries.

What you’ll be doing:

• Build and manage SEO strategies for multiple clients across diverse sectors
• Conduct keyword research, technical audits, and competitor analysis
• Optimize website content, landing pages, and blogs
• Implement improvements for speed, schema, mobile usability, and more
• Monitor performance using GA4, GSC, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, etc.
• Lead link-building and outreach efforts
• Collaborate with internal teams including developers, designers, and content creators
• Keep pace with industry trends and algorithm changes
• Report performance and insights to clients and stakeholders

What we’re looking for:

• 3–5 years of SEO experience, preferably in an agency
• Ability to manage multiple projects and timelines
• Experience with international clients (Australian market is a bonus)
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Familiarity with CMS platforms (WordPress), HTML, and CSS
• Experience across industries like Ecommerce, Legal, Healthcare, Fintech, and more
• Team management experience (2+ years)
