Job Summary:
The SEO Specialist is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing effective search engine optimisation strategies to increase organic traffic, improve keyword rankings, and enhance the overall website health. The candidate will play a key role in optimising web pages, enhancing content engagement, and ensuring that technical SEO and mobile optimisation are up to date. The goal is to maximise site visibility, drive organic growth, and improve conversion rates.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Organic Traffic Growth:
- 2+ years in driving measurable organic traffic growth through SEO strategies.
- Execute and refine SEO strategies to drive increased organic traffic, monitor traffic patterns, and adjust tactics accordingly.
2. Keyword Research & Rankings:
- 2+ years with keyword research tools (e.g., SEMrush, Ahrefs, Google Search Console).
- Conduct and analyze keyword research to improve rankings and align content with high-value keywords.
3. On-Page SEO Optimization:
- 2+ years in optimizing on-page elements (meta tags, headers, URLs, internal linking).
- Optimize website elements following SEO best practices and perform regular on-page audits to identify areas of improvement.
4. Technical SEO:
- Practical understanding of technical SEO fundamentals (e.g., crawl errors, site speed, mobile-friendliness).
- Conduct regular technical SEO audits, fix crawl issues, optimize load times, and ensure mobile optimization.
5. Content Engagement:
- 2+ years collaborating with content teams for SEO-friendly content creation.
- Work closely with content creators to optimize content for SEO while ensuring it is engaging for users.
6. Click-Through Rate (CTR) & Bounce Rate Optimization:
- 2+ years optimizing CTR and bounce rate through strategic SEO improvements.
- Monitor and improve CTR with optimized meta titles and descriptions, reduce bounce rates by enhancing on-page content.
7. Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO):
- Basic familiarity with CRO (experience working alongside CRO teams is beneficial).
- Collaborate with the CRO team to improve on-page conversion elements and track conversion metrics.
8. Backlink Strategy & Off-Page SEO:
- 2+ years in managing backlink acquisition strategies.
- Develop off-page SEO strategies, build quality backlinks, and monitor domain authority improvements.
9. Mobile Optimization:
- Working knowledge of mobile SEO best practices.
- Ensure all web pages are optimized for mobile users, focusing on page speed and responsive design.
10. Local SEO:
- 2+ years managing local SEO efforts (e.g., Google My Business optimization).
- Optimize local SEO efforts to enhance visibility in local searches, ensure NAP consistency, and manage local citations.
11. Reputation Management:
- Familiarity with managing online reviews and ensuring a positive brand presence.
- Monitor and manage the company s online reputation, including handling reviews and mentions.
Skills & Qualifications:
Technical SEO Skills:
- 2+ years working with SEO tools like Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, and Screaming Frog.
- Proficiency: Comfortable with technical audits and basic fixes (e.g., crawl errors, site speed optimization).
Content & On-Page SEO Skills:
- 2+ years of optimizing content for search engines, including keyword placement, meta descriptions, and internal linking.
- Proficiency: Solid understanding of how to craft SEO-optimized content that balances user experience with search engine requirements.
Analytical & Reporting Skills:
- 2+ years analyzing performance data from Google Analytics, Search Console, and SEO tools.
- Proficiency: Ability to interpret data and generate actionable insights to improve SEO performance.
Mobile & Local SEO Skills:
- 2+ years optimizing websites for mobile SEO and managing local SEO (Google My Business, local citations).
- Proficiency: Knowledge of mobile-first indexing and local search best practices.
CRO & Engagement Optimization:
- 1+ year working alongside CRO teams to optimize website performance.
- Proficiency: Basic understanding of A/B testing and improving on-page elements to enhance conversions.
Link-Building & Off-Page SEO:
- 2+ years of link-building expertise, focusing on acquiring high-quality backlinks.
- Proficiency: Familiarity with outreach strategies and monitoring backlink profiles using tools like Ahrefs or Moz.
Other Required Skills:
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams.
- Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is plus.
Educational & Experience Requirements:
- Any degree in Marketing, B.Tech, BE or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in SEO, with a proven track record of improving organic search performance.
- Certifications in SEO and digital marketing (such as Google Analytics, HubSpot, etc.) are highly desirable.
Preferred Tools:
- SEO Tools: SEMrush, Ahrefs, Moz, Screaming Frog (2+ years of hands-on experience using at least one of these tools for keyword research, audits, and tracking performance).
- Analytics Tools: Google Analytics and Google Search Console (2+ years of experience in using these tools to analyse organic performance, user behavior, and technical SEO).
- CMS (Content Management Systems): WordPress (2+ years of experience in CMS)
- CRO Tools: Basic familiarity with A/B testing and conversion optimisation tools such as Optimizely, VWO, or Google Optimize (1+ year experience working with or alongside CRO teams).
- Link-Building Tools: Ahrefs, Moz, Majestic (2+ years managing backlink profiles and link-building campaigns using these tools).
- Local SEO Tools: Google My Business (2+ years of experience managing local SEO efforts through this platform).
