Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Senior Weather Routing Analyst, based in Mumbai. The Senior Weather Routing Analyst will be responsible for providing expert guidance to optimize vessel performance, safety, and efficiency by analyzing meteorological, oceanographic, and navigational data. You will be responsible for preparing voyage plans, monitoring vessels in transit, and advising masters and operations teams on optimal routing strategies, considering safety, fuel efficiency, regulatory compliance, and commercial requirements.

Qualifications

• Provide

  voyage planning and weather routing

  recommendations for fleet vessels, ensuring safe and efficient transits.
• Analyze

  meteorological, oceanographic, and climatological data

  to anticipate and mitigate adverse weather and sea conditions.
• Monitor vessels during voyages and provide

  real-time updates

  to masters, operations, and chartering teams.
• Optimize routes for

  fuel efficiency, emissions reduction, and voyage economics

  while maintaining navigational safety.
• Collaborate with ship masters, fleet managers, and commercial teams to align routing with

  operational and contractual requirements

• Help junior analysts, providing guidance in

  forecast interpretation, routing tools, and reporting standards

• Prepare and deliver regular

  reports and briefings

  on voyage performance, weather impacts, and long-range forecasts.
