Senior Video Editor

Position Title Video Editor Location Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India (Office-based / Hybrid – specify as applicable) Company Overview Hatsoff Media Pvt Ltd is a creative digital agency based in Chennai specialising in graphic design, video editing, animation and digital marketing. We work with clients across industries (industrial, hospitality, real-estate, fashion, education etc.) to deliver high-quality multimedia content. Role Summary We are looking for a skilled and creative Video Editor who is passionate about visual storytelling and has strong technical skills. The role involves editing various forms of video content (for social media, web, promotions, corporate) to support our clients and internal projects. Key Responsibilities Take raw footage / assets and edit them into polished video content (promos, social media reels, corporate videos, etc.) Work with motion graphics, transitions, sound design, colour grading where required Collaborate with designers, animators, and marketing teams to ensure the video aligns with brand guidelines and campaign goals Manage multiple editing projects simultaneously—meet deadlines and maintain consistent quality Stay updated on video trends (especially social media formats), tools and best practices Ensure the final deliverables meet technical specifications (format, resolution, aspect ratio, platform requirements) Troubleshoot editing challenges, propose creative solutions, and refine edits based on feedback Maintain an organised archive of project files, versions, assets and metadata Required Skills & Qualifications Proven experience in video editing (with portfolio showcasing work) Proficiency with industry-standard editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects) Basic / intermediate knowledge of motion graphics, audio editing and colour correction Strong sense of visual storytelling, pacing, rhythm and composition Good understanding of the requirements for different platforms (Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, LinkedIn) Ability to work under tight deadlines, take feedback and iterate quickly Good communication and collaboration skills Strong attention to detail Desirable Skills Experience with 3D animation or VFX Working knowledge of tools like Illustrator, Photoshop (for graphics that integrate in video) Experience editing long-form content (documentary / event videos) in addition to short-form Familiarity with motion graphic templates, expressions in AE, etc Education & Experience Diploma or Bachelor’s in Film, Multimedia, Visual Communication, Animation or a related field (or equivalent practical experience) At least 1-2 years of relevant video editing experience (or more, depending on seniority) Demonstrated portfolio (link to showreel preferred) What We Offer Opportunity to work in a creative, flexible environment as part of a growing studio Exposure to diverse client projects across industries Learning opportunities with latest video/editing trends and tools Competitive salary and benefits (to be discussed) • • A collaborative team that encourages creative thinking and growth
