About the job:

As a Motion Experience Designer, you will be responsible for designing streamlined UX motion experiences for our app and generating high-quality 3D artefacts such as icons, illustrations and motion graphics. You will work alongside our writers, illustrators and motion designers to complement their work with 3D and elevate our visual storytelling. You need to be a passionate, experienced, and detail-oriented designer—someone who has a proven record of creating polished, immersive, and high-performing motion and illustration content. You live and breathe motion and cinematography. You are comfortable both conceptualizing and executing motion design across digital platforms—often using AI to accelerate your workflow. You will collaborate closely with designers, developers, marketers, and product managers to ensure that visuals are both effective and delightful.

What will you be responsible for:

• UX Motion Design: Create seamless and engaging motion experiences for app journeys, transitions, and micro-interactions.
• 3D Artefact Creation: Design high-quality 3D icons, banners, and illustrations that enhance the visual appeal of our products.
• Product Illustration: Collaborate with our 2D illustrator to extend and complement visual narratives across platforms.
• Dev Hand-off and Motion Specs: In case of Lottie and Rive animations, create detailed motion specifications that will help front-end developers implement the designs up to expectations.
• Creative Direction: Contribute to the visual direction and storytelling of digital experiences, ensuring consistency and brand alignment.
• Performance Awareness: Design visuals that are optimized for speed, accessibility, and user engagement.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with design, product, marketing, and development teams to align visuals with business goals and user needs.
• Quality Assurance: Conduct Creative QA of artefacts to ensure they are implemented with pixel-perfection and as per specifications.
• Stay Up to date: Keep up with AI, design trends, tools, and best practices. Continuously improve and innovate our visual strategy.

Therefore, you should have:

• Experience: 5-7 years of experience in UX motion design, 3D illustration, or related roles, preferably in digital-first creative agencies or B2C organizations.
• Tool Proficiency: Expertise in modern 3D and motion tools such as Blender, Cinema 4D, Houdini, Spline, After Effects, Lottie, Rive, and strong familiarity with AI tools like Midjourney, ChatGPT, Nano Banana, etc.
• Design Skills: Strong understanding of UX motion, animation principles, product illustration, and visual storytelling.
• Technical Awareness: Ability to design within technical constraints such as video performance, webpage load times, and HTML compatibility.
• Collaboration Skills: Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Portfolio: A portfolio or showreel that showcases your best work and thinking process. If not, you might be asked to take a take-home design challenge.

• You’ve worked in financial services, fintech, or other complex, highly regulated industries and know how to balance creativity with compliance.
• Have led motion strategy for high-performing apps or digital products.
• Have won awards in design or have a high follower-count on your Behance, Dribbble, or professional Instagram account.
• Take interest in areas adjacent to design: architecture, branding, pop-culture, photography, etc.
• Enjoy mentoring, reading, researching, writing articles, and working with the broader community of designers.
• Believe that design is more than just work, but a way of life. You love to animate, illustrate, experiment, and have a keen eye for motion and aesthetics
