Senior Systems Engineer

Position Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and coordinate high-severity incident management activities, ensuring timely resolution and minimal business impact.

• Serve as the primary bridge driver during incident events, orchestrating cross-functional team collaboration and communication.

• Maintain clear, concise, and effective communication with stakeholders throughout the incident lifecycle.

• Develop and deliver impactful PowerPoint presentations summarizing incident post-mortems, trends, and operational improvements to leadership and technical teams.

• Analyze operational data and incident trends to identify root causes, recurring issues, and opportunities for process optimization.

• Collaborate with engineering, support, and management teams to drive continuous improvement in incident response processes and operational governance.

• Mentor and guide junior engineers in incident management best practices and operational governance frameworks.

• Ensure adherence to organizational policies and standards related to incident management and operational governance.

Preferred Experience:

• Experience working in large-scale cloud or enterprise IT environments.

• Familiarity with incident management tools such as ServiceNow, PagerDuty, or Jira.

• Background in systems engineering, network operations, or DevOps.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Proven experience in incident management and operations governance in a complex technical environment.

• Strong leadership skills with the ability to drive incident bridges and facilitate cross-team collaboration under pressure.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of engaging with technical teams and business stakeholders alike.

• Proficiency in creating clear and professional PowerPoint presentations for executive-level reporting.

• Skilled in data analysis techniques and tools to interpret incident metrics and operational data.

• Deep understanding of system architectures, monitoring tools, and incident response frameworks.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment managing multiple priorities simultaneously.

• Relevant certifications (e.g., ITIL) are a plus.
