About The Role
We are looking for a highly motivated and skilled Senior Engineer/Staff Automation Engineer to join our Systems Integration Testing team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong foundation in Python and a passion for building robust, scalable test automation frameworks for embedded and cloud-connected systems.
What You Will Be Doing
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and scripts using Python
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define test strategies and ensure product quality
- Execute automated tests, analyse results, and report defects using tools like Jira
- Participate in code reviews, test plan reviews, and bug triage meetings
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Python, targeting both embedded and cloud-connected systems
- Contribute to continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines
- Work closely with developers and product managers to understand requirements and translate them into test cases
- Maintain test documentation and ensure traceability using tools like TestRail or DOORs
Who You Are And What You Bring
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, or a related field at IIT, NIT or MIT
- 2+ years of experience in test automation, preferably in embedded systems or IoT domains
- Strong programming skills in Python (mandatory)
- Experience with REST API testing using tools like Postman or SOAPUI
- Familiarity with mobile and web application testing (iOS/Android)
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS preferred), MQTT, and security testing
Preferred Skills
- Experience in domains such as Solar, EVSE, Battery Storage, or Home Automation
- Knowledge of scripting languages like Bash or PowerShell
- Familiarity with Git and CI/CD tools like Jenkins
- Strong analytical and debugging skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
