Senior Specialist

The Database Administrator is responsible for the design and management of database technologies for key systems within Duracell. You will be accountable for ensuring the overall health of the databases, managing tools and processes to guarantee reliability, availability, recoverability, and security of company databases. This role necessitates a strong technical background and a working knowledge of various Database technologies. Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to: - Excellent Database management skills in SQL DBA, including installation of SQL Server and Server Harding Strategy. - Proficiency in technologies such as ALWAYS ON, REPLICATION, LOGSHIPPING, Backup & Restore Strategy, DATABASE Partitioning, and SQL Failover Cluster. - Experience with Database Migration in SQL Server and from on-premises SQL to Azure. - Knowledge of Oracle, MongoDB, Progress, MySQL is considered a plus. - Demonstrating excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills. - Efficient troubleshooting abilities and the ability to provide 24/7 support. - Providing strategic direction for the database architecture and systems, including upgrades. - Offering database design and support for application and infrastructure projects. - Providing technical leadership for successful project management and timely delivery of enhancements. - Managing and maintaining databases to meet availability and performance standards. - Planning for future system growth and recommending improvements. - Ensuring proper monitoring of all Database systems and configuring necessary alerting. - Responding to P1/P2 issues and troubleshooting DBA-related outages and problems. - Developing and maintaining detailed systems documentation. - Maintaining system backups/restores using Veeam and Azure Backups. - Testing Disaster Recovery/Business Continuity Plan and providing root cause analysis for outages. - Performing expansion, relocation, and consolidation of Database systems across corporate locations. - Engaging in diagnosis and troubleshooting activities to resolve technical problems. - Carrying out other related duties and projects as business needs require under management direction. The successful candidate should possess strong organizational skills, efficient time management, prioritization abilities, and effective communication skills, including speaking, writing, and active listening.,
