Responsibilities

• Work in a hybrid model, focusing on functional testing and end-to-end automation.
• Proficient in API automation (Postman, RestAssured, etc.).
• Create automation test suites and integrate them into CI/CD pipelines.
• Develop and own test plans, tooling, and integration aligned with product development.
• Automate non-prod test data setup to reduce Dev testing efforts.
• Document, communicate, and prioritize bugs across stakeholders.
• Perform functional and automation testing within agile sprint cycles.
• Improve code quality with reusable components, organized tests, and refactoring.
• Conduct peer reviews of automation tests.
• Collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams to uphold quality standards.
• Communicate delivery risks effectively with actionable resolutions.
• Maintain quality metrics and dashboards for reporting to management.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related field.
• 7+ years of experience in backend/API automation (Postman, RestAssured, etc.).
• Strong in Java-based test writing for REST APIs and web services (JUnit, TestNG).
• Hands-on with Performance Testing tools (JMeter / BlazeMeter).
• Proficient in at least one programming language (Java, Python, etc.).
• Familiar with Git-based repositories (GitHub/GitLab).
• Experience integrating frameworks with CI/CD tools (Jenkins).
• Ability to build scalable testing infrastructure for parallel execution.
• Experience with application migrations using automation-driven validation (plus).
• Knowledge of Elasticsearch, OpenSearch, or distributed databases (plus).
• Hands-on with at least one cloud platform, preferably AWS (plus).
