Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented

Server/Storage Engineer

to manage, maintain, and optimize our enterprise storage and server infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with SAN/NAS systems, virtualization platforms, Windows/Linux servers, and backup solutions. You will play a critical role in ensuring high availability, performance, and security of our data centre operations.

Key Responsibilities

Design, deploy, and manage enterprise storage systems (SAN, NAS, DAS).
Administer physical and virtual servers (VMware, Hyper-V, Windows Server, Linux).
Monitor system performance and troubleshoot hardware/software issues.
Implement and maintain backup and disaster recovery solutions.
Perform capacity planning and storage provisioning.
Apply patches, updates, and firmware upgrades to servers and storage devices.
Collaborate with network, security, and application teams to support business needs.
Maintain documentation for configurations, procedures, and policies.
Ensure compliance with IT security standards and data protection regulations.
Handling US hours for better support.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
5-8 years of experience in storage and server administration.
Strong knowledge of storage technologies (Pure, Dell EMC, HPE, etc.).
Proficiency in virtualization platforms (VMware vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V).
Experience with Windows Server and Linux (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu).
Familiarity with backup tools (Veeam, Commvault, Veritas, etc.).
Understanding of RAID, iSCSI, Fibre Channel, and NFS/CIFS protocols.
Scripting skills (PowerShell, Bash) are a plus.

Preferred Certifications

VMware Certified Professional (VCP)
Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate
NetApp Certified Data Administrator (NCDA)
CompTIA Server+ or equivalent

Soft Skills

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Shift Timings: 6 PM IST – 3 AM IST
